Eva Bryn Shoetique Celebrates One Year

Fashion-forward styles from acros the pond make Eva Bryn Shoetique worth the drive to Zelienople.

The shop at 117 South Main Street just celebrated its first anniversary featuring fashion-forward footwear, handbags, capes, jewelry and other accessories, including brands proprietor Kelly Carney fell in love with while living abroad.

"Lucy Choi of London is my highest-end line.  The designs and quality are just beautiful," says Carney, who explains that Choi is a niece of famed shoe designer Jimmy Choo and got her star working for his company. "She designs total statement shoes.  But where Jimmy's shoes are $600 to $1,000 a pair, hers are $250 to $450."

Other brands include Dansko, All Black, Vionic, Sofft, Blondo, Eileen Fisher, J/Slides and, come January, Birkenstock.

Carney learned the ropes from a friend while living in Scotland.  She named her shop for her twin daughters and pursued the goal of offering women a place where they can fully accessorize an outfit. "A woman will come in with a dress, and we can help her complete her look," says Carney, who grew up in Gibsonia.

Capes, wraps, and blazers - including tailored tweed jackets by Joules with removable faux fur collars - and Butler & Wilson jewelry impart the shop's British vibe.  Ladies who love the handbags will find seven lines to choose from, including Save My Bag, Sandra Cadavid, Urban Expressions, VASH and Thacker New York.

Cinderella will be at the shop for Miracle on Main Street, a festive community fundraising event slated for December.
